Summer is an exciting time for Jericho students. During the summer some people go on vacation, play sports, or stay at home. Many students have been surveyed, and the following is a list of the most common things that students are going to do this summer.
1. Going to camp - According to the students of Jericho, going to camp is the most popular activity to do this summer. Most campers go to camp to be with their friends.
2. Going on vacation - Some popular places are US states, like Florida and California, but others are jetting off to places out of the country such as Greece and China.
3. Other responses - Some student responses were funny. For example, someone is going to practice for the Olympics and another person is going to have a party every day.
Summer is an opportunity for children to relax and spend time with friends and family. These are just some events that the students are going to be involved in this summer.

Science experiments are fun! Here is a list of those that you can easily do at your home without hurting yourself.
If you write backwards, can you read backwards ?
All you need are two people, a pen/pencil, and a piece of paper. Then, think of a sentence and write it backwards. Have your partner read it backwards in a way that makes sense. It’s as simple as that.
Does music help you concentrate?
All you need are headphones, something to memorize (a list, a small amount of information), and a piece of paper.
First, put on headphones and listen to your favorite jam while you are reading your information. Then, remove the information and write down whatever you remember on a piece of paper. Then, do the same activity without your headphones and see if you were able to remember more with or without the music.
Make a volcano in your home!
One of the most classic science projects that you can do is to make a volcano at home. It is not as simple as the other projects but it is a really fun one. All you need is newspaper or paper similar to newspaper, baking soda, vinegar, food coloring, and water. Mold the paper into the shape of a volcano. Then mix the rest of the ingredients. Pour everything into the volcano shape, stand back, and watch it “explode”.
Now you know what science experiments you can try at home. Maybe you can use them for a science fair project! Have fun and leave a comment on this article.

Do you know what the word, "palindrome" means? Well if you don’t know, palindromes are words that spell the same word both backwards and forwards. If you think about it, there might be palindromes all around you and you may not even notice it. For example, have you thought about the word “racecar”? Well, if you look closely, “racecar” is actually a palindrome because you could spell “racecar” the same way backwards and forward.
Here is a list of more palindromes :
I hope you enjoyed my list of palindromes. Can you think of any more?
