Fun Facts about Spring Track

Our coaches are Ms.Vevante, Mr.Smith from JMS and Mr. Smith from Seaman.
There are many events such as long jump, high jump, sprinting, long distance and shot put.
Each practice is one hour and 30 minutes long, 5 days a week.
Short distance runners (also known as sprinters) run 50 meters to 100 or 200 meters.
Long distance runners run 400, 800, and 1600 meter races.
Students who try out for certain positions will be tested on their ability in which coaches will make the final decision.
The season begins at the end of April. We are very excited to be part of the team!
